All Saints Church

The Domesday Book (1086) records "a priest is there and a church". A 'Fortress Tower' was built in the 12th Century when the church was used as a place of refuge from raiding bands. The church was added to over the centuries and in the 19th century, much restored by the Mitford family . The Archway at the entrance is a memorial to the late Admiral Mitford. The Shields which adorn the interior give names of manorial families of Hunmanby.
